HMS Duncan Three

The Trip

15.20 We met at Surrey Quays (Wetherspoon) to plan outing, then take Jubilee Line train to Canary Wharf station. Leaving the station, we walked to where the HMS Duncan was the day before but found that it had already been moved to the lock at the entrance to the dock.  When we got to the same position as yesterday we took some pictures and then walked round to the ‘Blue Bridge’ where we watched HMS Duncan leave the dock and enter the Thames.

17.56 We took a D7 to Blackwall Station and changed onto a DLR train to King George V and walked to the Woolwich Ferry to view HMS Duncan one last time, but found that it had passed by 15 minutes before we got there.  As we had missed HMS Duncan we decided to take the ferry to Woolwich and went to the Great Harry (Wetherspoon) for a cup of tea.

20.19 We took a 177 to Greenwich where we walked round a classic car show and music event at the Greenwich Market.  We finished off the day at the Gate Clock (Wetherspoon).

23.40 Ended the day by taking a 199 home (arrived there at 12.20).
